Warsaw Old Town

The Old Town is the oldest part of Warsaw. The king’s castle and wall were built in the 13th century. Most of the area was destroyed during World War 2 but has been rebuilt, this was a major project that was only completed in the 1980s.

The great work meant that the old city of Warsaw was awarded a place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The old town is a lively place full of galleries, cafes and restaurants.
